artist statement

Born 1962, Bangor, Northern Ireland and currently working and living in London, Jeremy C Glover, FRSA, LRPS, is an international award-winning photographer and contemporary artist drawing on his many years experience as an Art Director and Creative Director with global agency McCann.

Influenced by the Abstract Expressionist and Pop Art movements and operating within a minimal abstract framework, his practice isolates man-made elements within the urban landscape with tight close-ups of architectural features, street furniture, signs, doorways, random objects and textured surfaces.

His photographs of the everyday are transformed into striking evocative, abstract images, through digital post production techniques, to emphasise and enhance colour and texture. In so doing he seeks to elevate the unnoticed, the mundane, while celebrating the millions of creative, artistic and design decisions made by Londoners that colour and shape her diverse neighbourhoods, character and community.
